Import a robot

Turn your robot's model into a simulation-ready digital twin.

Mobile robots, robot arms, drones, self-driving cars, humanoids: if your robot has a model (URDF or xacro), Upfreq can simulate it.

1. Start

Press New session and choose Create a robot.

2. Add files, review, build

  1. Add files: drop your robot's description folder. For the painting robot that's painting_robot_description/ with its xacro, meshes and controller config.
  2. Review: Upfreq checks every file and shows what it found. Here: a mobile manipulator, a MiR100 base with two drive wheels, a UR5e arm with six joints, two lidars and a camera.
  3. Build & upload: Upfreq builds the digital twin and checks it on your GPU.

3. Done

The robot is ready, with its ROS 2 interface listed: what it listens to (/cmd_vel, /joint_command) and what it publishes. Every agent reads this before it writes code, so it already knows your robot.
